Director Sales & Marketing
The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for new business development, the retention of existing business targets of the Company's sales organization, the development and maintenance of partner relationships and the marketing function. The Director, Sales & Marketing will be responsible for leadership, management of the sales function, as well as training and development of staff. This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of a marketing strategy and marketing plan for all products and services. The position also has responsibility for supporting the company's local presence and strategy by becoming involved with key organizations, committees, and influencers.
Develop and maintain business relationships with corporate entities and a community that will help the Company meet its objectives.
Develop strategies and train sales team to emphasis the Company's value proposition approach to selling
Develop product positioning strategy, messaging and competitive analysis.
Be accountable for creating, writing, designing and producing marketing/communications material for the Company's clients.
Create the vision and strategy to increase the quality of the products and services being delivered by the sales and marketing function
Develop and/or introduce sales techniques/tools that will assist in building a "best in class" sales organization.
Provide leadership to the implementation of the Company's business strategies for the purpose of achieving organizational objectives.
Develop and utilize effective strategic sales tactics, and communicate compelling reasons for prospects to purchase the Company's employee solutions and services.
Implement sales plan for new and existing business
Assist and participate in the sales planning and forecasting.
Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, consultants, decision makers and community groups, that will further the local presence strategy for the Company's sales efforts
Collect and analyze competitive information from the field sales team in order to keep apprised of local and industry trends.
Prospect and develop long-term business relationships with top management of large clients; deliver the Company's proposals, rate quotations, and presentations to clients.
Inform management of problems as well as their solutions regarding correspondences and sales processes
Positive "Can Do" attitude
B.A./B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Masters in Business Administration preferred.
Eight years of sales experience selling system consulting services and software solutions.
Experience working with technical staff
Minimum of three years sales management experience.
Ability to work with groups and teams in planning and implementing change.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; a high level of planning and organizational skills.
Experience developing and maintaining third party partnership relationships
Strong product knowledge of business and software solutions.
Knowledge of computers word processing, spreadsheet proficiency and power point preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written; listening, observing, identifying and reporting.
Strong relationship working with clients in the Texas marketplace. Oil and Gas vertical preferred.
